The Well is a natural limestone sinkhole fed by an underground spring with approximately 1.5 million gallons of water per day. Sinagua cliff dwellings line the rim of the Well. Remains of several pithouses can be found near the Well.
Petroglyph and Archaeology sites can be found throughout the Verde Valley, but Beaver Creek has some of the best sites in Arizona. The V Bar V Ranch, Montezuma Castle and Well National Monuments are among some of the most interesting and well preserved sites in Northern Arizona., right here in our backyard! The V Bar V is the largest known petroglyph site in the Verde Valley, consisting of 1,032 petroglyphs on 13 panels created by the Sinaqua.
Montezuma Castle is one of the best preserved cliff dwelling in North America. Occupied by the prehistoric Sinaqua Indians between approximately 1100 and 1425 AD
Sycamore park, just a half a mile away provides public access to Wet Beaver Creek in Lake Montezuma. Visitors can use the covered pavilions and fire pits for fun cookout picnics with family and friends in the park.
Beaver Creek Inn is less than half mile to the community's public access of Wet Beaver Creek at Sycamore Park. The creek at this point is good for creek walking, quiet meditation or just taking a quick splash to cool off in warm summer months

The wolf sanctuary has raised and rescued different types of wolves. The Lodge offers lessons on wolf behavior and the history of each wolf in addition to their "medicine" and healing energy. Visitors are allowed to go into their habitat and interact with them. Visits by appointment only.
There are literally dozens of trails in and around Rimrock. Many hiking and Forest Service websites provide up to date trail maps and hiking information for your comfort and safety. Popular trails in the Beaver Creek area include Bell, Apache Maid, Wickiup Mesa and Walker Basin trails. Many more are located throughout Sedona.
The "Crack" at Wet Beaver Creek in the Wet Beaver Creek Wilderness area and the Coconino National Forest Beaver Creek Picnic and Day Use area both have excellent swimming hole spots without the crowds of nearby Sedona.
Take a canoe or inflatable kayak adventure tour down the Verde River with experienced tour guides with Sedona Adventure Tours. River tours not your thing, then schedule one of several jeep tours offered by Red Rock Western Jeep Tours or Pink Jeep Tours.
